Inability to Urinate Treatment

1. Get Medical Help Immediately

  • Go to a hospital emergency room or call 911.

2. Follow Up

  • Emergency personnel will insert a catheter, or narrow tube, into the urethra to drain the bladder.
  • Doctors may perform several tests to determine the cause and treatment.
